What does this training include?
Engage with these trainings online and at your own pace. They will help prepare you to gain your Community Health Worker (CHW) certification which is valid in Pennsylvania and will be valid in Delaware once legislation is passed.Â
The training courses cover all nine of the CHW core competencies required by the Pennsylvania Certification Board:

Who provides this training?
The National Nurse-Led Care Consortium (NNCC), a national leader in health education, is providing the online portion of this CHW training program. Using an online Learning Management System, NNCC will help guide participants through 75 hours of videos and activities which can be completed at your own pace.
Additional live trainings are provided by the Institute for Healthcare Advancement totaling 49 hours, which will certify trainees as a Health Literacy Specialist.
